Almanac — SMS & WhatsApp Terms & Conditions

Almanac is a service of Optivantage Solutions LLC (“Optivantage,” “we,” “us”). These terms govern the Almanac messaging service, delivered by text message (SMS) and by WhatsApp.

1. The service

Almanac sends recurring automated messages containing zmanim (halachic times), davening (prayer) schedule information, and related informational updates, by SMS and/or WhatsApp.

Messages are service (informational/transactional) messages only. They may include: weekly zmanim and davening schedules; schedule updates, changes, and corrections; fast-day, holiday, and seasonal schedule alerts; and account or subscription notices (such as opt-in confirmations and responses to HELP or STOP requests). We do not send promotional or marketing messages.

References to SMS include text messages delivered over related carrier and device messaging channels where supported — including MMS, RCS (Rich Communication Services), and Apple Messages for Business (iMessage) — and successor messaging technologies.

2. Opt-in and consent

By entering your mobile number and checking the consent box on our signup page, you give prior express written consent to receive recurring automated SMS messages from Almanac at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

WhatsApp messages are sent only to users who have separately opted in to receive Almanac messages on WhatsApp. Consent to one channel is not consent to the other; you may opt into SMS, WhatsApp, both, or neither.

3. Message frequency

Approximately once per week. Message frequency may vary.

4. Cost

We do not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. WhatsApp messages require an internet or data connection.

5. Opt-out and help

Reply STOP at any time on SMS or WhatsApp to cancel and stop all messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@optivantagesolutions.com.

6. Carriers and availability

Carriers and WhatsApp are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service availability may vary by carrier and by platform.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the most recent version.

8. Privacy

Your information is handled in accordance with our Almanac Privacy Policy.
